I managed to download it earlier today. The purchase screens were slow and failed the first few times but eventually worked.

The F3's and the Meganes are a lot of fun with default set ups. this tire model feels very natural to me after a few laps. I like it a lot more than iracings old tire model. This feels a lot more real, you can feel the tire characteristics change as you load / unload them and change direction.

Well worth the money even with limited content so far, quick bite and back at it, :drive:

Uh oh, forgot to bib up.

I got through the purchase process but continue to battle generic computer issues. Directx wouldn't update...got that settled. Had to fix my install (due to directx problems). Hoping this one is finally it. been trying to get a chance to play for almost 4 hrs. ARRRRGGGG

I am blown away by the old F1 cars. They just feel so alive. Spa & Monaco are a great addition also. The Formula Renault is also up there for me but not the Meganes. They just feel like rF1 Meganes to me. What I do notice is that my wheel is WAY too shaky when I hit a rumble strip or go off track. I've read their forums but there isn't a clear fix as of yet.
There's a lot of potential here. If they can recreate the feeling I got with F1 cars on other mods, I'll be a happy camper that will miss a lot of sleep...
Until then, I'll still be driving my Capri & Barracuda while sporting a huge grin on my face. :D

no doubt the open wheelers around Monaco are a fantastic experience. Alive is the best way to describe it.

Looks like I'm going to be investing in a better processor/motherboard combo. Mine won't run all three screens at a decent frame rate. I can run 1 screen at full resolution with some of the other features turned off. Makes me want a machine that can run it will all of the features.

Is Orchard Lake included in the beta? I absolutely will not purchase rF2 until Orchard Lake is available.

Ok I might be joking a little.

Nope only Mills for the ISI tracks.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
BUT Torque is how far you take the wall with you!!

seems ok on my 3 screens at medium res for sure, i upped it last night driving the f1 CLASSICS at monaco and am happy to report - they are not TMS (typical Mick Sh*)

maybe a slight stutter but yes gator - time to get better hardware in place. i ordered a decent pc from ibuypower.com and delivery should be with in the next 2 weeks so i may be of some help benchmarking things.

i still can't get over the connected feeling - and yes mike - the force feedback settings are too high - violent imo - i didn't play with it but my guess, logitech profiler may be of some help here and i also noticed a force adj setting for each car too -

the ui is better too

online rooms - large numbers forming in single rooms - bros is listed but did have some server connect failures too

oh yeah - btw - i didn't see an obvious way to change my online or single player name not too keen on that

will be immersed in all its glory asap - no gt5 racing tonight - i'm being self centered - sorry fellas have a great time

I copied this from the ISI forum, did what it said & got my name changed. The only thing I did extra was to make a copy of the original name file.

``To change your name in game, you must do:

- windows start,run, write "%appdata%".

- you're now in Roaming folder with a .rFactor folder in. In this folder, open rFactor.name file with notepad.

- change your name (first it's your firstname, second your lastname and last your nickname)

- save and put the file on Read-Only, it's essential !

Tested ``

If you need any help with this, I should be on tonight. Good luck.

Just saw on the ISI forum that doing the above could cause problems getting onliune in the future. Therefore, I suggest making sure you make a backup copy of the name file before doing anything else.

Using this method to change your name may result in you being unable to join servers in the future, FYI.
