Coooool!!!

Notice who was 2nd dog nipping at his heals. :afro:

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
BUT Torque is how far you take the wall with you!!

I am going to be pushing it getting home an settled in time but I am going to try my best to make this race. Depending on how badly you guys have been sandbagging I might actually be competitive tonight.

No sand bagging Shawn. My best pushed lap is a 28 and wasn't repeatable, no idea where the extra 3-4 seconds are.

It's not setup magic. I barely touched a thing with the base setup. I am actually very impressed with the base setup. I had to nail it to get the 24 but I was getting consistent 25's and 26's. If I can start in the front and get a good start I feel good about my chances. Not sure about racing in traffic. I am sure it would be fun but my ego could really use a dominating race from start to finish. I fully expected to see you guys post a 22 or 23 the last two days.

Congrats guys another great showing for TUM last night. Bullit was the man with super fast times last night unfortunatly Apex and him came together going for the win in the last corner on the last lap with Apex coming out on the worst end of the deal flying off track ripping off the front end. :drive: Apex being Mr consistant and fast again last night had the both of them way out ahead of us fighting for 3rd on back.

As for me I found some speed dropping 5sec off my time. The F1 cars are fun but tough to race and maybe Portugal wasn't the best track for them. Have to see how they work on other more flowing tracks and maybe turn the damage level way down on them, they are very fragile.

Congrats to Robb for just getting RF2 two days ago, installing it and the mod just yesterday then entering his first RF2 race last night and finishing it. :clap2:

Thanks to all of you who made it for this one, despite a depressing end to my race I still enjoyed it while it lasted. <_<

Portugal just might be my New Orchard Lake. Not sure where my pace came from but I wish I would show up more often.

I really surprised myself in qualifying. I never dreamed of throwing down that 21. I even followed it up with a 22. During the race I put down a fair number of 22's so I wasn't a fluke.

Y race started off real good but about 6 laps in I attempted to pass a lapped car and got out of the racin groove and slid into the kitty litter. Sucked for me bu love the realism. That allowed Apex to make up the lead I had and take the lead from me. From there on out we had a good hard fought battle that was usually clean. I misjudged following him into the big bottle neck and spun us both out. Bad case of lack of patience on my part. I was trying to keep close enough to make a move down the front stretch but messed it up. Got the lead back the next lap but slid off again and back to 2nd. Then the last turn I had a good run and Tony opened the door for a second. I went for it, he closed it abruptly and the rest is history. Happy to win my first serious road course race but it was hard to feel too good about it knowing what happened to Tony.

I would really like to see GBR start a series with those cars. I had a real blast with them.

started with a 1:32 and ended up at a 25. i'll take that as an improvement. I never felt confident probably because of lack of laps and the simple fact I'm used to driving hockey puck's (plural) I was starting to realize you can stop in about 10 feet with these things and get this - actually pin it on exit (i had traction control on) too so basically I was babying it.

congrats to TUM last night for the representation and congrats to Robb for being there on such short notice. wow -

as far as continuing on with these cars. I'm thinking we need to get saturated with something less technical and with fenders. I thought the corvette race was more fun... just saying.

Yeah Bullitt, I was understeering like crazy all night at the final turn trying to stay low on the racing line. After starting to go wide yet again I managed to start getting it back as tight as I could while still leaving room but maybe you were slipping a bit wide too and you also had a way better run out of the chicane. I was too depressed to view the replay though

That's racing, looking forward to more F1 in rF2
