4 'complimentary' tickets have found their way into my greedy little hands for this weekend's race. My 2 kids, wifey & I are on our way to Montreal tomorrow morning (7 hours from now :D ) to watch our first big time race. Actually I got to see the F1 GP there in 1981 at 12 yrs old, with the greatest Gilles Villeneuve... but I digress. We'll get to watch the Q sessions for the Nationwide series along with the Grand Am Rolex series (that's the one I'm really looking forward too :D ). I'll be sitting comfortably on a grandstand, with a hot dog in one hand & an outrageously priced beer in the other.

I feel like a 5 year old at Christmas. :D :D :D :D :D :D

Wow!! Super Cool!! Have a great time. :2thumbsup:

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
BUT Torque is how far you take the wall with you!!

That was fun. We were seated at the hairpin before the back straight; way up on the extreme right of the bleachers. It was wonderful to hear & see them come in at over 200 km/h to an almost dead stop & then wide open again. Got to see the practice & qualifying of the Nationwide series, the Canadian Tire series, Canadian Touring Car series & the Grand Am Rolex series. My kids were troopers but near the end of the day, they were getting bored.
The last session of the day was in the Nationwide series with hometown heros Tagliani, Carpentier, Ranger & Villeneuve all vying for the top spot. Danika Patrick was fastest for a while but eventually Tagliani snatched the pole. :D
Also great to see the Rolex series with cars we use on our computers. Man there are some seriously beautiful cars there. I wish I could go tomorrow for the races. This time I'd bring a cooler full of beer & sandwiches... We went bare handed today & ended up paying $45 for 2 burgers, 2 hot dogs & drinks.   What a rip off. They were also selling 2011 shirts & even a Villeneuve Petronas shirt from way back in 2005 I think. They stunk of moth balls.

Pictures to come, maybe some video...
